Now that the Spring runway shows of New York, Paris and London have come to an end, finding the right trends for your closet can be a bit overwhelming. Scroll below for 5 trends to infuse some sun into your look this season.
1) The Cold Shoulder
Fun and flirty, this trend is the ultimate in girly-girl style. Pair a shoulder-baring top with a wide leg pant and strappy sandal or a figure flattering pencil skirt and wedges. Shop a similar style from Zara, here.
2) Sporty Spice
Those track pants aren’t just for the treadmill anymore. Throw them on with a heel and lightweight bomber jacket for your new go-to outfit when running around town. Shop the look from ASOS, here.
3) Mellow Yellow
If there is one color you buy this season, make it yellow! From buttery pale, mustard, and beaming brights there’s a shade for everyone. I love this summer shift dress from TopShop.
4) Fancy Pants
Printed pants are a style staple for the sunny-weather season. Choose florals, paisley, or patchwork prints for some below the waist flare. Shop the look, here.
5) Walk The Lines
Stripes were a big trend on the runway this past fashion week season. Rock a head to toe look for an elongating effect, or break up the trend with a striped top and white pant for a nautical nod. Shop this look, here.
Underground streetwear collides at the corner of classic and conservative this week when Barneys New York Madison avenue recreates the Hood by Air (HBA) Spring/Summer 2016 menswear show in its latest window display. The visual display makes sense for the retail giant, since they were the first department store to stock the contemporary menswear brand. It also gives Barneys a seat at the table in the current discussion on the influence of street wear in fashion. The windows will be on view until May and incorporate exact details from the show including the custom grills made by Dolly Cohen and heavily inked mannequins.

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve seen that overalls have been pushing through for a comeback. But these aren’t the OshKosh ones we all wore on the prep school playgrounds of our youth. The new styles are worn, distressed, cut-off, ripped and repaired, oversized, and skinny.
Wear a shortall style like the one below with a flannel around the waist and a combat boots for some Rihanna-style edge.

Last night’s second installment of The Real Housewives of Atlanta Reunion was complete with more mud-slinging, shade and plenty of side-eye from the ladies on the couch. The drama and competition for who can get the best read keeps fans watching, but we also tune in each season see what the peach wielding ladies will wear. The color palette this season was definitely a neutral one: beiges, golds, and soft pinks.
The cast definitely brought fashion to the table, but my best dressed for the night has to go to show veteran, Sheree Whitfield who wore a slinky mauve gown with a plunging neckline. Although the gown is rumored to be a knockoff of a Balmain design, whether it is authentic or not she looked stunning. I also loved the punctuation of the grape lip color.
Who was your best dressed from the season 8 reunion?
Kanye West was recently spotted in Malibu for bro-in-law, Rob Kardashian’s birthday bash at Nobu. The rapper turned fashion icon wore a black longline button down, black skinny jeans, and suede chelsea boots. The look was a variation on his usual style theme with one exception: a faded denim jacket haphazardly graffitied in a Basquiat-esque technique. The designer, whose work has also been sported by A$AP Rocky is definitely one to watch!
