With the recent close of New York Fashion Week, editors, fashionistas (and anyone else who can score an invite) are all flocking across the pond to see whats new, now and next in London.
Each season seems to bring about an idea or trend that links one designer to the next, whether it be menswear as womenswear, bedwear as daywear, or under the sea influences. For FW14, there seems to be a fabric lurking throughout the zeitgeist and on the minds of many designers in London town: brocade.
This embellished silk fabric that is usually reserved for a particular age bracket brings a whole new level to the ongoing day-time glamour trend with an updated youthful mix of, bold florals, digitized prints and futuristic shapes.
